Wedding Celebrated at Rangiotu in July

MILLS—WILTON. The Rangiotu church was the scene of a pretty wedding on July 15, when Mavis Ena, oldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. J. 11. Wilton, of Mangawhata, was married to Herbert- John Mills, of Longbuvn, son of Mrs. Pope and the late Mr Cr. Mills. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. J. Berry and Mr Gordon Sorenson (cousin of the bride) presided a.t tho organ. Escorted by her father, the bride looked very sweet in her graceful anklelength frock of ivory marooain. The corsage was elose-litting with long sleeves, pointed over tho hands. A scalloped collar was fastened with a diamante buckle and there was scalloping a.t the Tvaistline and a narrow belt caught with a diamante buckle. The skirt was fully flared aud she wore ivory marocain snoes, the usual veil aud orange ' blossoms and carried a charming bridal bouquet.

In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Hazel Wilton (chief), sister of tho bride, and Miss Gladys Wilton, her cousin. Both maids wore ankle-length flared frocks of pink satin, black hats with touches of pink and black satin shoes. They carried flowers to tone with their frocks.

Mr Charles King, a nephew of the bridegroom, carried out tho duties of best man, and Mr Arthur Mills, the bridegroom’s brother, was groomsman. After the ceremony there was a reception in tho hall nearby, w T herc the usual toasts were honoured. Mrs Wilton received her guests wearing a navy frock and hat and carrying a bouquet of freesias, cyclamens and maiden hair fern’. Mrs'Pope, mother of the bridegroom, wore black and she carried violets, cyclamen and maiden hair fern.

When the happy couple loft later by car for T.ho north, tho bride travelled in a frock of brown floral velvet with hat, coat, Shoes and stockings to tone. She also carried a brown hand-bag.
