LITTLE HOPE FOR CRAMER’S SAFETY.
United Press Association.—By Electrio Telegraph.—Copyright. COPENHAGEN, Aug. 12. A metal cylinder has been found on the Jutland coast. It presumably belongs_ to Cramer’s machine, and hope has now been abandoned for his safety. Nevertheless the Trans-American Lina is continuing preparation for further surveys. Still No Sign Received Thursday, 10.30 .p.m, COPENHAGEN, Aug. 13.. There is no sign of Cramer.
Mr. Parker Cramer and Mr. Bert Hassell loft Rockford, Illinois, in August, 1929, to fly to Sweden, via Greenland, but had to make a forced landing in Greenland, where they were rescued by a scientific expedition under Professor Hobbs after they had been given up as lost. They were taken to Denmark. Mr. Cramer was one of the pilots with Sir Hubert Wilkins on his second expedition to the Antarctic in 1928-29,
