Newspaper Strike in Perth

The strike of newspaper employees to-day prevented the production of the city’s afternoon newspaper, the Perth Daily News. The morning newspaper the Western Australian is unlikely to appear to-morrow. The dispute in.volvcs the proprietors of both journals and their mechanical staffs. It arises out of reductions in pay following on the heavy drop in advertising and the high cost of newsprint due to the adverse exchange.
