Attacked His Mother
YOUNG MAN CONVICTED AND ORDERED TO KEEP AWAY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 12. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, Arthur Prancis Bailey, aged 18, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when calUd on, o.t a charge of unlawfully assaulting his mother, the informant. He was ordered not to enter his mother’s house, and was also ordered to pay costs. The informant told ail extraordinary story, alleging that her son had thrown knives at her, wounding her once in C e leg; and had thumped her i the floor. All this was because h; had been called on to contribute to her maintenance.
