“ The Naughty Wife"

To-night will see the first production of the comedy-drama, “Tho Naughty Wife,’’ by the local Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society. A three nights’ season is being played and no effort has been spared to make the production a brilliant success end help raise funds for the Central Relief Committee. The stage settings are excellent, and the dresses, general furnishings and furniture have all been supplied by the C. M. Ross Company, Limited. The society are fortunate in having some very clever amateurs to fill the cast. Miss Ulu Hancock, Miss Betty Mcßae, Miss E. Boon, and Messrs Amos McKcgg, M. H. Oram, A. E. Eising, Forbes and Fitzherbert are all well-known to tho theatre public of Palmerston North. Or.o of the strongest casts ever put forth by the society will be seen at tho Opera houso on August 13, 14 and 15. An excellent presentation of an amusing comedy should provido a full measure of fun and enjoyment for those who witness the production. Popular prices are the order of the day and soats may be reserved at the Central Booking Office and day sales at Mr. C. Swallow's bookshop. The city traffic officer has kindly arranged for the corporation ’buses to be in attendance at 10.30 p.m. at the end of the performance.
