Recitals at parks in the city had been postponed owing to the adverse weather conditions prevailing. A programme, however, would be given in the Squaro this Sunday. The musical progress of tho band was now very marked, and the organisation was also deriving benefit from the system of training juniors. Tho membership of tho senior band was 34, and the juniors stood at 10. The report was adopted, the chairman commenting that the increase of band members and the improved musical standard were most gratifying. Mr. Cox had now completed his second year of office as conductor and was to be complimented on the success he had achieved during that period. An application by the Palmerston North Business Girls' Lunch Club for the use of the Garrison hall on Monday evening was granted.
