Unsettled and Mild
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Yesterday’s anti-cyclone is moving oil New Zealand and the first of a fresh series of depressions is approaching the South Island. Winds: Moderate to strong northerly winds reaching gale force in parts of Cook and Eoveaux Strait areas. Seas (New Zealand waters): Kough South of Capo Egmont and offshore south of Castlcpoint; elsewhere smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Strong northerly winds to gales and rough seas. Weather: Unsettled in districts with westerly aspect and rain developing; fair at first in eastern districts but rain gradually extending to scattered in parts. Temperatures mild.
