Clearing Sale
Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Daunevirke, report having conducted a successful clearing sale of dairy stock for Mr. H. Frederickson, of Kaitoke, on Monday. There was a good attendance, chiefly of outside buyers, with a smaller local number, who were attracted by the good condition and quality of the stock, which was competed for at satisfactory priees. The cows and heifers found new homes, ranging from Pahiatua to Takapau. The following values were realised: Groups of cows at £ll, £lO 15/, £9 15/, £9 5/,-£9 2/6, £9, £8 2/6, £B, £7 17/6, £7 15/, £7 10/, £7 5/, £7; groups of springing heifers from £6 10/ to £4 12/6; and a nice line of yearling Jersey heifers went at £2 15/ each.
