Prisoners Sentenced

Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug. 11. The following prisoners were sentenced by the Chief Justice to-day:— William Hugh Henry Ryder, 28, bigamy two years’ hard labour. Jack Mervyn Wiffen, 19, arson, two years’ detention in the Borstal Institute. George Denzil Rogers, 34, breaking, entering and theft, 18 months’ reformative detention. Sidney Reuben Salmon and Harry Victor Webb, breaking, entering and theft, three months’ hard labour. John Morgan, attempted breaking and entering by night, two years’ hard labour. William Morris Belshaw, breaking, entering and theft, two years’ hard labour.
