AUSTRIAN CLIMBERS’ FATE REVEALED TWELVE-YEAR-OLD ALPINE TRAGEDY United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph. —Copyright. VIENNA, Aug. 10. A 12-jears-old tragedy was revealed in the 'Tyrolese Alps when two bodies were found in a perfect state of preservation in the glacier ice and were 'identified as those of Professor Koban and Horr Anlauf, who were climbing the Alps in 1910 and were overtaken by a storm at night time. They apparently settled do - t to play cards by candle light in an endeavour to overcome the deadly snowsleep. Evidently they failed for a stump of candle was found with the bodies and two unfinished hands of cards, all beneath a transparent sli ct of ice.
