102.28 From Flying Start
NEW BABY CAR RECORD British Official Wireless. Received Tuesday, 9.20 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 10. New speed records in tho baby ear class were set up by Leon Cushman, driving a supercharged Austin Seven at Brooklyn, and it was announced today that the previous reeord-holdor, George Eyston, had decided to build a new M.G. Midget to attempt to recapture tho records. Four now records were set up, and these included a flying kilometre, which was accomplished at a spoed of 102.28 miles per hour, and a flying milo at 100.67 miles per hour.
