FLOODS BEING FRESH METAL. It would appear that flood troubles in the Manawatu County are not without certain compensating features, at least, as far as tho council is concerned. Reporting to the council yesterday the engineer, Air. H. V. Bond, stated that the Rangitikei river had been in flood with tho result that operations at the county crushing plant, which is located on the river bank near the Bulls bridge, were held up. The report concluded: “The flood, however, has brought down a fresh supply of metal and tho plant has been started . up again.’’ ..
