FEILDING BRANCH MEETING. A meeting of the above was hold in tho library room, Feildmg, on Mond y evening. At the demonstration given by Air. D. S. Robinson the use ot the section block was explained, also diftcrcat ways of embedding (electric aid otherwise). Various frames, division boards, hive tools, ex bee escapes, drone traps, etc. we e shown, and the beekeepers advised which were the best and most satistaeto| rho judges appointed for the forthcoming competition were Messrs A. Anderson and D. G. leaser. Mr. D. b. Robinson, when his other duties pcim t of his doing so, has arranged to accompany the committee in an advisoiy capacity. His help in that respect will be very much appreciated. It was decided the first inspection ot tho apiaries entering for the competition be after the first field da), the closing date for the entries being on that day. .. Beekeepers are requested to note that the date for this event will be advertised in the daily papers. Any beekeepers desiring further information and a sample copy of tho paper are asked to communicate with the secretary. In response to a request to act as patron to the society, tho Hon. J. Cobbe said he would be only too pleased to do so, and has also promised to do all in his power to help the beekeepers. The meeting closed with a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. Robinson for his assistance to the branch.
