(From Our Own Correspondent.) At the concluding evening of the points prize series of euchres, winch was hold on Friday, the ladies’ prize was won by Mrs. Bcaglcy and the men s bv Mr. J. Baker. Consolation awards went to Mrs. A. O’Donnell and Mr A. Clark The points scored duung the series’will bo totalled, and the prizes will bo awarded at the season’sJmal function, which will take place on iucsday evening next. Everyone is looking forward to the Methodist Church concert, which will be held this evening. An excellent programme has been arranged by Palmerston North artists, who will provide the whole of the entertainment. The items include vocal solos and duets, instrumental numbers, and a variety of elocutionary recitals. Mr F R. Rosvall, who has been an inmate of the Palmerston North hospital, resumed his duties on Monday. The Bunnythorpe football team was beaten by Old Boys B by seven points to three on Saturday. This result dislodges the country team from its position alongside Old Boys A at the top of the tree, but tho team hopes to recover before the close of tho season. There was a largo attendance of marksmen at the Rifle Club’s weekly shoot on Monday evening. The A grade challenge shield was annexed by W. Salmon, while A. Guy and li.
