Pleading guilty to a charge of being drunk whilst in charge of a horse and lorry, Jack Presling, a Palmerston North carrier, aged 49 years, was fined £l, in default .14 days' imprisonment, when he appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Palmerston North Magistrate's Court yesterday morning. Senior-Sergeant Whitehouse, for the police, stated that accused had fallen off his cart when driving it in the Square on August 10. IDLE AND DISORDERLY.
