Dance at Cheltenham is Crowned With Success

Splendid success crowned the endeavours of those responsible for the dance hold at Cheltenham on Friday evening in aid of the Anglican Church, Kiwitea parochial district. The hall looked particularly beautiful, reflecting the greatest credit on the committee. A delicately fringed canopy arranged in the form of iarge squares veiled the coiling, greenery softened the waJls and beneatn the windows were branches of crabapple. At one end of the hall a trellis or spruce interwined with roses in colour s to tone with the canopy; had a very charming effect. Bamboo had been, used to adorn the supper room and the tables, laden with good things provided by the committee, had been gaily decorated with holly berries by Mrs. David Bell. Over 200 couples graced the hall floor and the unanimous opinion of all was that the dance was one of the jolliest of the season. Music was supplied by Bramwoll’s orchestra. Burroll, black georgette with yoke of pale pink veiled, in net; E. Booth, black taffeta with- large pink rose at shoulder; L. Hare, black ring velvet, bridge coat of red chenille; A. Haro, pmk georgette, green velvet coatee; AL Johnston, chartreuse mo ye velvet, black panno bridge coat; F. Conway, pink floral georgette; M. Hare, pale blue taffeta.
