Money for Races But Not for Rates
Per Press Association. NAPIER, Aug. 10. The chairman of the County Council stated to-day that he knew some defaulting ratepayers who had gone to the Grand National. He thought it was most dishonest of them. F knew he would get into trouble for this utterance, but he felt that he had to protect those who had paid. It was decided to sue for rates outstanding.
