Next Thursday evening will -see the first production of tho comedy-drama “The Naughty Wife” by ; tho local Amateur Operatic and Dramatic iSoci- 1 ety. No effort is being-spared to make’ tho effort to raise somo funds for-tho .Relief Committee a success. Special arrangements have been made with the C.M. Ross. Company Ltd. for dressing tho lady characters in the play and tho’ same - company is providing the society with furniture and general furnishings that must make for the. most cxeoilent’ settings for the ; stage. The rehearsals arc now drawing to a close and tho indications arc that, tho society, is indeed fortunate to have tho services of Miss Ulu Hancock, Miss Betty Mcßae,- Miss Ediia Boon and Messrs M. H.- Oram, Amos McKcgg and Bert Rising avail-, able for tho production. An excellent presentation of an h-musing piece should provide a full measure. of pleasurhblo entertaiumont for .those witnessing any of the productions. Box ofiice opens at Central Booking Ofiice. Monday for preferential booking and Tuesday for general public.
