Motor Cyclist Injured
DASHED INTO FENCE. Per Press Association. CARTERTON, Aug. S. A young man named W. R. Nankcrville, aged 28, of Petone, employed at Mr D. °Riddiford’s station, Lagoon Hills, Martinborough, met a motor, cycle accident on Thursday afternoon! Lie received a message from his wife ~.t Petone stating his small daughter was very ill and mounted a cycle to go to her. On reaching Kaiwaiwai his back tyre burst and the cycle left tho road and dashed into a fence. Nankerville struck his head, inflicting a deep gash and broke Ins arm. . passing motor lorry picked up and conveyed him to the Kelvin Hospital at Featherston. The patient regained consciousness late yesterday afternoon and is making *. tisfactory progress. Motor Cyclist Injured in Collision WELLINGTON, Last Night. As a result of a motor cycle colliding with a motor ear at the corner of Tinakori road and Hill street, on Saturday, John Baker, a farm hand, aged 23, received a compound fracture of the right leg and was taken to hospital.
