Charge Against a Mother
AN ABANDONED CHILD. Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Aug. 6. Violet Beatrice Moar, 29, domestic servant, a marri d women living apart from her husband, was remanded till August 10th on a charge of abandoning a female child found in an empty house on July 29th. “Word has come from the hospital that the child is not well,” said Chief Deteetivo Carroll. . ‘‘Should it dm and the cause of death be exposure : more serious charge will probably follow.”
