21st Birthday Celebrations At Bulls
Aliss Alary AlcKcnzie, of Bulls, whose eoniing-of-ngo took place on Tuesday, was given a very jolly dance to mark tho occasion by her parents, Air. and Airs. R. C. S. AlcKenzie, at their home, “Raumai Grange.” About 20 couples were present, among whom were guests from Palmerston North, Feilding, Alarton, Taihape and various other districts. Dance music was supplied by a wireless pickup. The supper room was gay with yellow, red, mauve and green balloons, and the table decorations were daintily carried out with daphne, violets and heath. The beautiful birthday cake was ornamented in. white and pink. Squeakers and coloured snowballs added to the fun of a very merry evening, at the end of which Air. Frank Wood conveyed tho congratulations of the guests to Aliss AlcKenzie upon her coming-of-age, and wished her a long and happy life. The singing of “For She’s a Jolly Good Fellow” was followed by “Auld Lang Syne.” Mrs. McKenzie received in a frock of black satin and an embossed velvet bridge coat, her daughter boing in a pretty frock of green taffeta, with a chenille bridge coat to tone.
