With an empty Treasury Mr. Lang found it necessary to-day to instruct the heads cf Government Departments to withhold salary payments to-morrow from officers of the Public Service, hut wages men on industrial services are to he paid as usual. Police Will Be Paid M.P.’S- GET THEIR SALARIES. Received Thursday, 2 a.m._ SYDNEY, Aug. o. Although the Public Servants’ salaries are not being paid to-mor row the police will Re paid. Ministers and members of Parliament are not affected the empty Treasury as they received their monthly cheques on August .
