Thirteen Trucks Leave Rails
HOLD-UP NEAR ARTHUR’S PASS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Thirteen empty wagons, portions of a long goods train travelling from Springhold to Arthur’s Pass, left tho rails near Kowhai bush to-day and blocked the line for eight hours. Most of the trucks were damaged, sonio seriously. Owing to a telegraph pole being knocked down communication with the West Coast is interrupted.
