DIRT-TRACK FATALITY.—John William Garmson, a New Zealand dirt-track rider, who died at Nottingham Hospital, England, last Friday, as a result of head injuries received while racing.
NEW ZEALANDERS AND THE BOYS OF DERBY.— About a thousand boys were the guests of the Mayor of Derby at the cricket match between the New Zealand team and Derbyshire on June 15. The idea was to encourage interest among the young in Empire sport. The Mayor is shown talking to the boys during the tea interval, while some New Zealanders present at the match listen at the back.
