MANAWATU BOWLING TOURNEY REACHES THE FINAL STAGES

Post Section Play To-day Sectional play in the Manawatu Bowling Centre’s Easter tournament was concluded yesterday, when four finks remained to contest tho post-sec-tion play. Thcso were L. Sparrow (Palmerston North), E. Bary (Palmerston North) and F. Moore (Feilding), each of whom had had seven wins and two losses, and J. Thomson (Foxton), who had had eight wins and one loss. These games will be played to-day over -<1 heads. The weather was fino yesterday, when the seventh, eighth and ninth rounds were finalised nt a late hour. Details sto as follow: — Section A

The first round is to commence at 9.30 a.m. The second round, or final, will bo staged at 1.30 o’clock this afternoon. PROGRESSIVE PAIRS AT TERRACE END At Terrace End a progressive pairs tourney was played, and at the conclusion of the play Kensington had a win in the leads’ section with five wins, while Smith and Baldwin played three heads for the final of the skips’ section. Baldwin scored one on the first and two on the other heads, tlius leaving him the winner for the skips. Details of the play are ‘ as follow: —
