Chose Bridal Gown Of Pink Georgette
ELDERM—HENDERSON A wedding of interest to the Handon district was celebrated at All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, yesterday, the contracting parties being Miss Florence Gertrude Henderson, daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. R. Henderson, of Ohakca, and Mr. Owen Charles Ellerin, son of Mr, and Mrs. L. C. Ellerm, of Sanson. The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, wearing an anklelength gown of pale pink georgette and lace, with close-fitting bodice and fully flared skirt; also a coatee of lace. Her beautifully embroidered veil was of pale pink tulle. Pink satin shoes and a shower bouquet of pale pink roses completed a dainty ensemble. Miss Doreen Bell, of Auckland, niece of the bride, attended as bridesmaid and was prettily gowned in Alice blue georgette, with a close-fitting bodice and flared skirt of ankle length. She wore blue satin shoes, a blue crinoline picture hat trimmed with pink roses, and carried a bouquet of deep pink roses. The bridegroom’s gift to the bridesmaid was a handsome Morocco handbag. Mr. Donovan Grace, cousin of the bridegroom, was best man. Canon G. Y. Woodward was the officiating clergyman. A reception was held at the Broadway Lounge, which was artistically decorated with pink and mauve asters and pink cosmcas. Mrs. W. Thomas, of Hawcra, the bride’s sister ,was hostess. The happy couple left by car on their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a costume of brown satin beaute. with a brown felt hat and shoes to tone, and a brown fox fur, the gift of the bridegroom.
