Simple Frock of White Georgette

BRIDESMAIDS IN GREEN A pretty wedding was solemnised at All Saints’ Church on Easter Monday afternoon when May Furness, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 11. W. Bovis, of • Main Street, Palmerston North, was united in bonds of Holy matrimony to Reginald Levin, second son of Mr. D. Field, of New Plymouth. The officiating minister was the Rev. Wiltshire < and Mr. J. Holmes Runnicles was at tlie organ.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father wore a simple frock of white georgette made with a circular flare, ankle length, the cape collar being edged with dainty pink embroidery. With this was worn a prettily embroidered veil forming a slight train, and the usual orange blossom. She carried a dainty bouquet of pink and white sweet peas and maiden-hair fern, and was wearing pearl ear-rings and rhinestone necklet, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was attended by her sister Thorn, as chief bridesmaid and Miss Frances Field, sister of the bridegroom. wearing nil green brocaded taffeta and nil green georgette respectively. Both frocks were made ankle length, with frilled godets, and they wore felt hats to tone. The bridesmaids’ bouquets were pink with green streamers. Peggy Bovis, the little sister of the bride, made a sweet flower girl in a pale pink brocaded taffeta frock with felt hat and streamers to match, and she carried a tiny pink posy of roses. The chief bridesmaid received ,a signet ring, and the other two necklets, the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. J. Robb as best man anil Mr. B. Register, as groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Piccadilly tearooms, where the guests were received by Air. and Airs. Bovis, the later wearing a black georgette frock with beige lace and a black georgette and lace coatee. With this was worn a cedar-wood felt hat and black shoes and stockings, and she carried a bouquet of red dahlias.

The usual toasts were honoured and Mrs. T. Simpson contributed two much enjoyed vocal solos.

The happy couple later left for the north, the bride travelling. in a navy costume and red hat, and she carried a red handbag. The happy couple, whose future home will be in Danncvirkc carried with them the best wishes of a large circle of friends.
