Picturesque Wedding At Lutheran Church

CROUCHER—NIELSEN. The Lutheran Church, Palmerston North, was the scene of a pretty wedding yesterday morning when Laura Marion, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs N. P. Nielsen, of Tiakitahuna, Palmerston North, was married to Cyril Martin, youngest son of Mr and Mrs L. Crouchor, Into of Nelson and now of Wellington.

The church had been beautifully decorated by aunts of the bride in flowers to tone with-the bridal group. The ceremony was performed bv the Rev. A. Christensen, and Miss Clausen presided at the organ.

Escorted by her father, the bride looked very picturesque in her gown of ivory satin beaute. The corsage was close fitting with long tight sleeves [minting over the hands and the long skirt flared from a hip* yoke to form a slight train. Her lovely veil was of hand-made Indian lace worn off the face and held to her head with side posies of orange blossom. She wore a string of pearls, ivory satin court shoes and carried an exquisite bouquet of deep pink roses, and carnations with maiden hair and asparagus fern.

Mrs Yereker-Bindon, of Palmerston North, sister of the bride, was in attendance as matron of honour, wearing a frock of the new green georgette, fashioned with tight-fitting 1 bodice, long tight, sleeves and long skirt flared from a hip yoke. She wore a green felt hat turned off her face'with swathing of georgette fastened with, a diamante buckle, green slides and flesh coloured stockings. She carried a bouquet, of pink flowers with streamers of green ribbon.

Miss Marion Crouchor. (Wellington), sister of the bridegroom, was also in attendance similarly attired. Two sweet bttle flower girls were Margaret Fraser, of Palmerston North, a cousin of the bride, and Julia Nielsen, of Tiakitahuna, also niece of the bride, wearing frocks of shell pink georgette with tinv frills vandvked at the hem i.r.d frilled capes. Poke bonnets of pink felt tied with pink ribbons were worn and pink shoes and stockings and they carried pink posies with green Streamers. The best man was Mr Bernard Gould, of Waipawa, Mr Donald Fraser, of Ivarerc, cousin of the bride, officiat-

Mrs Nielsen, mother of the bride, wore a black and beige s'lk marocain frock with black hat relieved with beige, also squirrel furs. Phe carried a bouquet of autumn tinted dahlias. Mrs Crouchor. mother of the bridegroom, wore a black lace frock, a black velour coat with skunk collar and cuffs, ami black velvet beret. She carried a bouquet of rod dahlias and roses.

When the bride and bridegroom left later for the South the bride travelled in a frock of navy crepe do chine with -vest. of vieux rose georgette, black court suede and kid shoes and navy felt hat. She carried a coat of dark fur.

The young couide received many cheques and lovely gifts including a handsome crystal vase from the choir of the Lutheran Church of which the bride was a member. •
