Bible Class Camp Concluded Yesterday

The Manawatu-Hawke ’s Bay Methodist Young Men’s Bible Class camp which was held at the Awapuni racecourse commencing on Thursday evening concluded yesterday. The camp which was one of the most successful ever conducted by the combined unions was attended by 104 Bible class members, the latest to arrive being two voung men from Wairoa who left on Thursday afternoon and did not make their appearance at the camp until Sunday afternoon. It spoke, volumes for their courage and enthusiasm that they were able to be present for not only were they held up by breakdowns of the car they had hired but at Waipukurau they took tho wrong road and arrived at Porangohau. At. the evening meal at the camp on Sunday these two young men'were given a rousing reception upon their arrival m tho The whole organisation of tho camp was splendid throughout and the controlling officers are to bo congratißatcd on the success of their untiring efforts. The meetings were very well attended and that splendid spirit of comradeship which exists at the majority of such camps was very evident throughout the whole of the camp and it was with a certain amount of regret that adieus had to be made after lunch on Monday when the campers returned to their various homes in Wanganui, Hawke s Bay and Manawatu districts. Yesterdav morning the leaders of the movement met and it was decided to hold the next Easter camp at Hastings.
