Fatal Ending to Fight in Sydney

Robert Coffey, aged 19, died yesterday following a boxing bout at the Leichhardt stadium on Thursday night when he was knocked out in the ninth round by Bob Singleton. Jack Carroll (10.8) defeated Tonny Tuzzolino (11.4) by a technical knockout in the fifth' round. The contest was extremely willing while it lasted.
