Several Teachers Farewelled

BREAKING-UP CEREMONIES. The staff of West End school entertained Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Moore at tea yesterday morning and presented them with an electric kettle. The members paid tribute to Mr. Moore’s work as headmaster and referred to his happy association with the staff and expressed regret at his coming departure. Later in the morning, Mr. G. Tremaine, addressed tho children and Madge Price, senior prefect, presented Mr. Mooro with a gold-mounted wallet and a pencil. During the day at a staff gathering Mr. Moore, on behalf of his colleagues made a small presentation to Miss Sanders and Miss Cooper, who arc leaving the school. The second standard children presented Miss Cooper with a box of stationery. At Hokowhitu school opportunity was taken by Mr. L. Plank, headmaster, to make small presentations to Miss V. E. Sadd (substituted assistant) who has completed her term, and Miss hi. M. Thomson (probationer) who is going to the Wellington Training College.
