The City Dance

The first of a series of dances held under the auspices of the “CityN Dance Committee took place on Saturday evening in the Foresters’ hall.- Besides the interior being decorated with streamers of the committee’s colours, a recently installed spotlight made a very pleasant effect, and added greatly to the enjoyment of the dancers. Novelty items were included on the programme with the result that keen competition for prizes was in evidence. Under the capable management of Bro. N. D. Pedersen, who officiated as M.C., patrons danced to.the syncopation of a popular orchestra, who proved themselves equal to the occasion as many encores were the order of the function. At a suitable juncture all were thanked for their attendance which had been to a large extent responsible for the evening’s success, and they were invited to be present at the rest of the series which are to be held at weekly intervals.
