P.D.C. Cabaret
Bowls of mimosa, narcissi and asparagus fern bedecked the P.D.C. cabaret on Saturday night, when a number of dancers made the evening a fitting wind-up to race week. During the evening there were several exhibition dances by pupils, of Miss Gibbs, a Spanish dance by Miss D. Shapleski, a syncopated tap number by Miss Edna Boon, an Oriental dance by Miss Isabel Brown and Trepak by Miss Kathleen Boyce bring splendidly executed and warmly applauded. Amongst those present w-ere: Mr. and Mrs. A. Strang (New Plymouth), Mr. and Mrs. C. Strang (New Plymouth), Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Seifert, Mrs. Beardsall, Captain and Mrs. McCaskill, Mrs. Ireland, Mr. and Mrs. N. Wallace, Mr. and Mrs. May-Somcrville, Misses P. Nathan, B Holmes, A. McLeod, Gordon Eliott (Feilding), M. Bayley (Feiiding), M. Goodall (Bulls), J, Monekton (Waipukurau), L. McDonald, D. Bousfield, C. Morice (Wellington), Rita Herbert (Dannevirke), C. Fitzherbert, Messrs. A. Bousfield, R. Pankhurst, H. Petre, C. Armitage, D. Ewing, I. McCrae, Meadows and Dr. Maunsell.
