Mosley, S.M., at the inquest, held at Rangiora yesterday, into the death of Samuel Hamilton Wilson, whoso remains were found in tho debris of his house at Scfton, burned down oil July 30th. Constable Smith said that he went to the scene of tho firo "and searched among the debris. Under three sheets of iron he found "Wilson’s charred remains. After removing the remains, he made a further search and recovered a carving hr.ife. Tho Coroner said he could not bring in a verdict on rumour, but only on the evideneo before him. Even if it bad been found that tho knife was covered with human blood, it would not throw much light on the matter . “There is no evideneo to show how Wilson came by his death,” tho Coroner added, “ but his charred remains were found in tho debris of his house, which was burned down. ’ ’
