JULIA FAYE AND JC"EPH SCHILDKRAUT. The best friend a man has in the world may turn against him and become his enemy. His son or daughter may prove ungrateful. The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous, is his dog. This is the central theme of ‘‘His Dog,” -in which Joseph Schildkraut and Julia Faye are featured and which will be on view at the Tivoli ta-night. Unique in plot, “His Dog” as prepared for the screen by Olga Printzau from Albert Payson Toriiune’s story, pictures the regeneration of a social outcast by reason of the devotion of his dog. Down and out, tired of life, Peter Olsen, played by Mr ScMldkraut, is about to give up tho fight when he finds a dog with a broker leg lying by the roadside. Ho takes the dog to his sliack, mends the hurt, and calling him Chum, becomes devoted to tho dog, and the dog in turn devoted to him. The dog shows his master the way to a new happiness in life. Through this change in character Olsen becomes a valued citizen of his community, and a romance between him and Dorcas, a wealthy girl portrayed by Julia Faye, brings the picture to ah altogether, happy finale. The music master to be screened is Bizet.
