Moeraki Held up by Firemen’s Dispute

United Press Association.—E j Electril Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Friday, 9.45 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug. 1. Owing to the refusal of the Union Steamship Company to reinstate dismissed firemen the remaining firemen on tho MocrakL refused to take the vessel to sea at noon to-day and her departure for Fiji has been postponed until to-morrow. Tho industrial registrar is trying to effect a settlement but the men’s union is not sanguine. This is the first dispute since tho seamen’s organisation registered a fortnight ago.
