First Three Places In Round Europe Race Filled by Britishers
British Official Wireless. RUGBY, July 31. Captain Broad and Alan Butler were the only two competitors out of the 60 entrants in the air circuit of Europo race to earn tho maximum point-s 270 —for flight, and reliability. Captain Carberry, another British entrant, was third, with 268 points. Captain Broad and Butler both used Gipsy Moth ’planes, and their average speed during the 4,750 miles’ circuit was 110 miles a.n hour. Marks are also awarded for consumption and other technical points, and tests on these will begin at Berlin ■to-morrow.
