Death of Taranaki Settler Follows Mysterious Injuries

Per Press Association. ELTHAM, Aug. 1. A fatality is reported from the Mangimingl district, near Eltham. Mr John Granville, J.P., a very old settler, died last night from injuries received. He was found at 7 p.m. lying in a drain. A doctor found that Mr Granville, urns suffering from a fractured skull and broken ribs, which had pierced a lung. Death occurred during the night. It is not known how the injuries were received.
