The Fur Auction
•REMARKABLE SCENES. Tho greatest auction of furs ever held iu Palmerston North was conducted yesterday by Mounsey and Co. in their rooms, and their largo room was simply crowded with ladies anxious to secure one of these magnificent sample Russian fur coats or necklets. It is many years since this city held an auction sale of so many rare and beautiful furs and rcmarkablo business was done yc-sterday. Oyer 70 coats were sold and no wonder! Some of the smartest and most beautiful coats and necklets were sold at a fraction of the pride usually asked in New Zealand. The sale will continue to-day and ladies are advised on no account to miss this wonderful opportunity. Tho auction of these wonderful furs will commence at 2.30 p.m. in Mounsey and Coj’s rooms to-day, which is tho last day.
