I saw Beauty, standing pensive, In a Loudon park. A group of daffodils Beneath tho graceful height Of silver birch trees, A fir tree, tall, slender trunk And feathery boughs iu silhouette Against the sunset. i . A silent pool, with mosses round its edge, Silver for itself, bluo for the sky, And white for fleecy clouds Reflected, A roof, red-tiled Peeping among trees, A grassy slope Wind-ruffled. I saw Beauty Standing kncc-decp in fragrance In a London park. _M. A. Beckon.
