A dramatic raid by a detective on tho Australian Federal Life and General Assuranco Company was followed by the arrest of threo wellknown city business men. Books and documents belonging to tho company were seized, and further arrosts urc expected, Tho. amount involved is said to bo £500,000. Vivian Partridge, Ralph Paul and James Cochrano wero charged by warrant with conspiring to cheat and defraud shareholders and policy holders in the company. Bail was allowed in each case of £SOO.
