Motorist Killed When Car Falls into Creek
TWO OTHERS INJURED. TWO WOMEN HURT IN HEAD-ON CRASH. United Press Association.— By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. DUNEDIN, Last Night. John Land, a contractor of Edievale, a single man, about 15 years of a.ge, was killed about ten o’clock on Friday night. He was driving a motor car from Millar’s Flat to Beaumont and after turning a sharp bend in the road near Rae’s Junction school the car ran. oil the road and fell about 50 feet into a creek. Mr and Mrs Paul Childs, of Beaumont, who were in the car, wero injured and were removed to the Lawrence hospital. Deceased is supposed to have no relatives in the Dominion. Two single women, Mavis Tyler (aged 21) and Violet Moulin were admitted to hospital yesterday suffering from face and body* abrasions. They were in different cars which met in a bcad-on collision on the Outram road.
