WANGANUI REPRESENTATIVES OUTPLAY MANAWATU. 16 SETS TO EIGHT. General all-round superiority was noticeable in the Wanganui players against the Manawatu representatives ic the match decided on the Linton street courts on Saturday. S. Powdrell, the Wanganui veteran, captained the visiting side and J. McDonald, the Manawatu team. McDonald was the only man on the Manawatu side to win his singles, while the ladies shared honours with the visitors, Misses Cummcrfield, Litchfield and Eutheifurd winning their games. Of tho eight sets won by Manawatu, the ladies won five; two sets were won in tho mixed doubles and one in the men’s singles.
