Car Skids and Plunges Over 200 Foot Bank
COUPLE’S FORTUNATE ESCAPE,
Per Press Association. TAUMARUNUI, Dec. 5. A car driven by Mr A. McKenzie, of Wellington, who was accompanied by liis wife, skidded at a bad spot on the Piriaka Hill when en route to Wanganui yesterday, and went over a steep bank. It fell 200 feet. Mr McKenzie was admitted to hospital suffering from shock and injuries to the head, but he is progressing satisfactorily. Mrs McKenzie, although suffering from shock, was not sent to hospital. The car was badly damaged.
