Stanway School Concert
All examinations being over, the children are now busily practising for the school; concert ■ ._j7hich „ urill take place on Friday, December., 13. Twc> plays are to be staged, “Dame Durden” and “King Cole Calling,” while various other items will add to the interest of a bright programme. Supper, provided by the local ladies, will be dispensed during the evening and following prize-giving, dancing will ,be indulged in. Personal. Much sympathy is felt in the district for Mrs. W. Eobinson, whose husband was obliged to enter the Palmerston North hospital on Sunday last. Mts. Eobinson’s son, George, is still an inmate of the same institution, but hopes before many days that he will have sufficiently recovered from his accident to be able to return to his home. The friends of Mr. and Mrs. Usher Miles, of Pheasant’s road, will regret to learn their little son Eonald is in the Palmerston North hospital suffering from diphtheria. Mr. T. W. Bailey returned to Apiti on Monday after several days being spent at his home, Makara road. '
