Baby Wakes Up Court
BLOWS SHRILL NOTE ON POLICEMAN’S WHISTLE,
A bored baby at the police court, at Enfield, England, recently caused .a sensation. While a mother gave evidence a policeman held her small child. But the baby had no respect for burly policemen or court proceedings, and, when, nobody was looking, took the policeman’s Whistle out of his pocket and blew a shrill note.
Everybody jumped up in alarm and for some minutes there was confusion, until the smiling culprit was noticed with Ms new toy. Order was restored, and baby had to become bored once more by the dull affairs of grown-ups; bnt everyone else went on with the case in a better humour.
