Further Rainshowers The depressions centred respectively west of the North Island and east of the South Island have lost their intensity since yesterday. There has been a considerable rise in pressure over eastern Australia. Prevailing winds northerly to westerly, backing to southerly soon from Cook Strait northwards; elsewhere southerly, moderate but freshening generally. The seas in New Zealand waters will be rather rough on parts of tho West Coast, elsewhere moderate but rising south of East Cape; moderate to strong winds and rather rough seas in the eastern Tasman sea. The weather will be dull, with much mist, or in places fog. Rain is expected in most districts, with some further heavy falls in the North Auckland, Bay of Plenty and Gisborne districts, but improving on tho West Coast of tho South Island. Temperatures are becoming colder.
