SHADES OF JOHN PEEL. Shades of John Feel, that famous huntsman with his coat so gay, mingle in tho personality of W. W. Andrews, of Feilding, who as a partner in the dual mercery establishments of Messrs Humphreys and Andrews, is ever ready to discuss horses and horsemanship while he dispenses coats and other male garments,, not so gay as the traditional costume. “Bill” has many years of hunting to his credit and ever of a happy disposition is extra happy when in the saddle, in full cry with his hounds. Hunting in the winter, bowls in the summer, are his principal pastimes and business cares have never been too great to debar him from talcing an active part in civic life. As a Borough Councillor, he did much to bring about a much-needed improvement in Feilding’s water supply and as a member of the Board of Managers of the Feilding Agricultural High School, he has manifested a practical interest in the advancement of agricultural education in the district. .He was for a time associated with tho motor industry in Feilding, when it was more or less in its infant stages and he carries his years lightly.
