A Correction
To the Editor,
Sir, —Would you kindly publish the following correction. I am reported as having ventured the opinion that the illuminating of the trees would cost less than the temporary illumination of the town for Show Week. My statement really was this: “I venture the opinion that the temporary illumination of the town for Show Week (and with which I am thoroughly in accord) would cost as much as the permanent; protection of permanent beauty (the trees) 'protection’ meaning tree guards, as the Mayor mentioned, I understand, £45 as the necessary amount.—l am etc., N.
