THE TIVOLI
TWO SPLENDID PROGRAMMES TO-NIGHT. Patrons of the Tivoli theatre have a great treat in store for them. “Tho Shakedown” an unusual screen play of widely heralded excellence with James Murray and Barbara Kent in the feature roles. The story, written by the veteran newspaper and screen writer, Chajles A. Lague, is built around the crook fight racket. It discloses how unscrupulous boxing managers stage fake fights with “setups” in order to milk the unsuspecting public with “sure” bets. There is a delightful love story and a succession of human interest touches which give the picture great appeal. An even dozen of Pacific Coast’s most famous drivers of tho motor speedways were enlisted by Sam Wood for “The Racing Romeo” production, starring Red Grange. This liberal dash of speed served as the background for the “Mini Flash’s” exploits on the dirt track, which are rich in thrilling incidents. A matinee will 'be held to-day- at 2.3 Q Wf ‘ - ■ ■ •
